Wellbeing and pastoral care

At IOANID International High School, we recognise that student performance is intricately linked to their wellbeing. With dedicated psychologists available for one-on-one meetings whenever our students need them, we ensure that every voice is heard and supported. We also host a series of talks and webinars, specifically designed for teenagers and their unique challenges, fostering a community of care.

These initiatives are part of our holistic approach to education, creating a safe and nurturing environment where our students can excel academically and develop into well-rounded individuals.

Empowering Students Through Meaningful Support

IOANID School understands how important it is for students to be comfortable and confident in a learning environment.

Each student has a form tutor who monitors their pastoral well-being, arranges trips or events and is a point of contact for parents.

Furthermore, the Director and Deputy Director monitor the students’ progress and respond to any concerns raised by the teachers to ensure that students are happy and making expected progress.  We are a small community of students and teachers who look out for each other and operate on a basis of mutual trust and respect.

At IOANID School, we believe that academic success goes hand in hand with personal growth. That’s why our support system is designed not just to assist, but to empower. Whether through targeted in-class guidance, individual mentoring, focused group work or after-school sessions, we help students build the confidence and skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.

This approach enables our students to:

  • Stay calm and focused under pressure, transforming key academic moments into opportunities for success.

  • Build resilience and perseverance, learning to grow from challenges and maintain steady progress over time.

  • Explore new experiences with confidence, stepping beyond familiar routines to discover fresh interests, broaden their horizons and develop real-world strengths.
